Fender Hot Rod Stratocaster
I can make heavier gauge strings on My New Stratocaster Hwy U.S.?
I'm taking a blues direction and I have curiosity, what is a good setup for this guitar, without having to take a tech.Can I can use a heavier gauge string to get a more rich? I am using an amplifier Fender hot rod currently.I still have the original strings, but this is virgin territory for me as I have been playing acoustic solely.Thanks any kick in the direction correct
You can put any string of meter in the beginning, if you are prepared to adjust the neck action, tension and tremolo springs tensor adjustments etc. The usual rule is that you can leave the settings alone if you go one size, but needs adjustments due to increased stress if you go to a larger size (unless you tune in to my flat as Stevie Ray Vaughan did.
