Should I bring my American Deluxe Stratocaster to college?
I go to college next year and I am a avid guitarist. I fear that my guitar is going to get stolen if I bring with me. I've thought about getting a Epiphone point to bring the university, but my dad will think I'm crazy if I buy another guitar (I have three, 12-string, start, and acoustics), even with my own money. Call me spoiled, but the chain of 12 was a gift from my uncle. The acoustics also was a gift from my grandmother. And the beginning was something I paid. I went bankrupt after that. For those unfamiliar with the guitar and still want to help me out: The American Start Deluxe cost me $ 900. It was used and it costs $ 1,500 new. Great guitar. I appreciate it. Lol I play for me, not for girls. If I played for Girls, I would not be playing delta blues slide guitar.
If that means a lot to you do not bring it. My brother brought a cheaper sound school instead of more expensive electricity did not want anything happening to him (and he had his own room).

The first time I pick up the electric guitar and are not sure exactly what to do with it, one of the first things you learn in general, are some simple chords.
So what is a chord, anyway?
Technically, a chord is a set of harmonically related notes, played simultaneously. To be less formal about it, a rope is what happens when several strings strum together to create a pleasant sound.
The first chords you will learn here are known as open chords. These chords take advantage of open strings.
There is another type known as a barre chord. These chords involve pressing one or more fingers down through several channels. Because the bar chords do not involve open strings, they can still move up and below the collar to create a chord in any shade. In theory, there are more complex to play an open chord. However, they require more strength in the fingering hand which may make them very frustrating for new guitarists. This is only a problem for beginner guitarists, after a short time learning guitar quickly enough force will not have to worry about having to sweep a chord.
The chords are the name of your root note. The root note is just what musicians of note around which the line is built. They come in two basic varieties, large and small. Clarence White was a bluegrass guitarist who moved to Los Angeles to find work as a session musician. By joining The Byrds became a major influence of the mixture of country music to rock.

An Irish blues-rock guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, who formed the band in the taste of 1960 and performed solo for decades afterward. Along with Van Morrison and Phil Lynott was one of the first Irish musicians to become famous for making blues-based rock. Such was his influence on the genre that David Coverdale asked him to replace Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple, though he preferred to follow his solo career.

For many of us, our decision to learn guitar is not something we thought sometimes too hard. It was almost as if it was done for us .. we just knew it was something I had to do. For others, however, is something you have to find some logical reasons to do so. Here are some of the best reasons why you want to learn to play the electric guitar.
Studies have shown that children who learn musical instruments do better in school. The electric guitar and acoustic guitar are basically the same instrument. There are differences, of course. The acoustic guitars tend to have more heavy chains, and the top less fret access. Until recently more than a century, there was no rule in Western music the correct pitch for each note. Different instruments may be perfectly in tune with themselves, and then be woefully out of tune when played together. For allow instruments to play together, some high standards were introduced over the centuries, however, these may vary widely from one region to another, and even in the same city.
In 1939, an international conference set a standard different from the above Middle C should be set at 440 Hz, which is now known as concert pitch.
So what does this mean for you as a guitarist? Well, if only we will be playing solo, not much really, but enough that your guitar will is in tune with itself. But if they are to play along with a band or a recording, then you want your guitar to be in tune not only with same with everyone else. If you are using an electronic tuner then you can pretty much rely on it to tune to the tuning concert. If you are tuning by ear to another instrument, taking into account that could not be in concert pitch! Some pianos are tuned a bit flat, not be able to withstand the stress of being tuned all the way to concert pitch, due to age or design. If you tune one of them, and then try to play with some types that have been tuned to an electronic tuner then things can seem a little bitter. You have to be so careful when adjusting the ear of a recording. Many records are not in concert pitch too – bands like Pantera frequency tuned slightly flat notes on purpose because they liked the sound – many older bands are often not Electronic tuners are available, and right in line with a note from an electronic organ or bass guitar. Some even had the tone of the recording changed by modifying the speed of magnetic tape recorded to, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose. Chuck Berry was famous a greatly accelerated because the company label wanted to "make it sound younger."
So this means will always want to tune in concert pitch? Most of the time you will probably want. But when you are going to be playing along with recordings or instruments that conform to a different tone, then you will want to be in tune with them. Some electronic tuners can be set to a high pitch or the concert pitch .. otherwise you can tune the heard a note of the recording, or one of the other instruments. If there is a fixed-song instrument in the band, like a piano or keyboard, then tune a note of that.
I'm a big fan of Charvel and Jackson guitars me. I became interested in them to learn that many of my players favorites such as Eddie Van Halen, Warren DeMartini, Randy Rhoads, Vinnie Vincent, Richie Sambora, George Lynch, Jake E. Lee and even Billy Gibbons were and still are often the Players of the mark.
Charvel are one of the most important and influential innovators in the history of a guitar. Beginning as a repair, spare parts and workshop customization, Wayne Charvel was one of the first luthiers to provide exotic finishes and adventure for guitarists are not satisfied with the aura color flat Solid offered by major manufacturers at the time. This certainly happened with Charvel .. at the time of the grunge revolution hit superstrats music and were no longer fashionable, the brand had no reputation Quality you can trust. Charvel guitars are now owned by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, and are produced in the U.S. again, with many of the original employees Charvel working on them. The original 80 instruments are also still available on the secondhand market, and more than 20 years later, they remain excellent tools.
